Recent advancements in soft electronics have garnered significant attention due to their potential applications in personalized, mobile, and wearable electronic devices. However, conventional electronic and optoelectronic devices often face challenges such as mechanical mismatch with soft human tissues, leading to issues like device fracture under deformation and user discomfort. To address these challenges, ultra-flexible and stretchable electronic and optoelectronic devices with low system modulus and intrinsic softness have been developed. In this work, we present unique strategies for synthesizing nanoscale materials (e.g., quantum dots, silver nanowires), seamlessly integrating them into patterned arrays, and designing unconventional devices and systems to achieve flexible, foldable, and stretchable quantum dot light-emitting devices. These deformable light-emitting devices can be integrated with stretchable sensors to form standalone wearable systems, enabling various mobile consumer electronics applications. Furthermore, wireless integration of mobile robots with wearable quantum dot displays can facilitate new human-machine interaction opportunities. These advancements in electronics and optoelectronics, which merge recent breakthroughs in nanoscale material technologies and unconventional soft electronics, open up numerous new possibilities.
